The Girl Effect

Updated: Feb 1

PestalozziWorld believes in the power of girls to change the world. Did you know 1 in 3 girls in the global South give birth before they are 20? Through the power of education we can help change the fate of girls, which is why two thirds of our scholars are female.

We now have 931 female alumnae who are breaking the stigma and changing the expectation of girls in their communities. They have gone on to lead successful careers all over the world in education, business and science and health. Our studies show that nearly 50% of our alumnae have gone onto higher education. Equipped through our “head, heart, and hands” approach with knowledge, skills, and ethics, as well as a family of supportive peers, our girls are assuming roles that are making them healthier, economically more powerful, and poised to be leaders.
