New Library and Cyber Cafe

A new library has opened at the Indian Village under the  supervision of Kasonde our volunteer from Zambia. Kasonde who is a Librarian by profession has catalogued all the old existing books  and added new books. The new books have been kindly donated by Kasonde’s friends and some were bought with local donation money.

Kasonde has been encouraging and guiding children to read. Some of them have even written book reviews for other students to read. It has been noticed that an efficiently run library has really encouraged the students to get into the habit of reading.

A Cyber Café has also been developed and it is open in the evenings so that children can come in to do homework and school related work. The computers and a printer were purchased from local donations and the cyber café has been generating its own little income to cover the cost of paper and Internet services.
