A group of 77 students ranging in age from 12 to 22 year old, who were sponsored by Pestalozzi Children's Village Trust to further their education in England for a period of about 10 years each, had now returned to Thailand, after completing their schooling. These students now wish to offer financial support to other bright students who lack the necessary funding, and have consequently united to establish "The Foundation for Further Education" with the kind support of Sir Richard Butler, who is the Governor of the Pestalozzi Children's Village Trust in England.
In my personal capacity, and through business companies with which I have associations, I have for sometime provided financial support for educational causes. It is my contention that education is the basic prerequisite for Thailand's development. This coupled with the fact that I have personally known Sir Richard Butler for sometime and feel that this is a very worthwhile project, which I joined upon its inception. I believe that if more people, who share the same views were to provide financial support for the Foundation, this would be of inestimable value for future generations of young Thais.

I know most of the former students of the British Pestalozzi Children' s Village. The first group to return to Thailand are now in their late thirties and early forties and are holding down responsible jobs in all kinds of companies and organizations. Although they were brought up in an English environment which has given them a Western work ethic, they retain the gentleness and charm of the Thai people, and consequently many gave settled into careers with International Joint Ventures and Non Government Organizations.
It is gratifying to see this group giving something back by helping to put young, poor and bright Thai children through a worthwhile education in their own country. Hopefully one day we will be able to open a Pestalozzi school in Thailand, so I urge you to support the efforts of The Foundation for Further Education. If you are able to help, even in a small way, I can assure you that your contributions will be gratefully received and faithfully applied to further the Foundation's worthwhile objectives.
